What is a Composite Door?
Composite doors are engineered from moulds developed from real hardwoods, which reproduce the accurate grain pattern and direction to the stiles and rails. The door's core material is manufactured from high density foam, which provides outstanding levels of thermal and noise insulation, 6 x that of timber. The sub frame utilises engineered timber that resists bowing, warping or distortion.
Thermoplastic faces are bonded to the core construction under high pressure creating a door leaf that is strong, extremely stable and has a finished colour that lasts. Security features include a hook locking system and deadbolt, complying with the requirements set down by the Police Initiative and holds the official Secured by Design licence.
